What's not to like? Great taste, high vitamin content, lactose free!
For those who need to gain weight, this product is ideal. I myself am not a fan of high-density caloric drinks for the general population. If you are in good health and just want a great dietary suppliment, get regular Ensure instead.
This product is great for people with diabetes, heart problems, and many other maladies because it helps you improve your dietary health first.
I must also say, the taste is surprisingly good as well. I find these drinks far superior to Slim-Fast lactose free, as they are lighter and easier on the stomach than Slim-Fast.
While I prefer the bottles to the cans (they are more recycling friendly after all) this is a great product that is worth a try.
For those who don't need to gain weight, try regular Ensure instead.

Vega Shake & Go Smoothie - Choc-a-lot (300g) Shake and Go Brand: Vega Review

(More customer reviews)I am vegan, and pretty into healthy eating, and I love Vega Smoothie Infusion, so when I saw Vega Shake & Go at my local health food store I decided to give it a try, even though I had my doubts as to how good something mixed with water could be.
I bought the Choc-a-lot; this review is only about that flavor. The directions say to mix 2 heaping tbsp with 1/2 - 1 c water, shake, and go. I tried it with 1/2 cup water, 3/4 cup water, and 1 cup water. In all cases it was almost un-drinkable. The texture is gritty and chalky, and the taste is chalky too, with an odd 'fake sweetener' aftertaste. Just, yuck. I also tried it with plain soy milk ... the texture was better but the taste was still unpleasant.
I didn't want to give up - Vega products are pretty expensive (though cheaper at my local natural market than here), and super-healthy. I wanted to find a way to make this palatable. What finally worked for me was mixing it into a smoothie. I already have a smoothie I like made with frozen bananas, dates, and almond butter - I added a tbsp of Shake & Go to that and I liked it. The good flavors and texture of my smoothie overpowered the chalkiness of the Shake & Go, and the Shake & Go gave the whole thing a mild chocolate flavor (good with bananas and almond butter... not so good, I imagine, with a berry smoothie).
I have a smoothie with the Shake & Go a few times a week and will until the pouch is gone. But I would not buy this again and I can't recommend it. I wholeheartedly recommend Vega's Smoothie Infusion - which you can throw into anything for a huge health boost.

Supreme Protein-Carb Conscious Quadruple Layer Protein Bar, 18/50g Bars Review

(More customer reviews)I love these protein bars! You will never taste a better tasting protein bar! The reason i picked them out was because they are low carb, which is tough to find in protein bars. Low sugar as well... I first tried them at my gym... I instantly fell in love with them. As other reviewers said, feels like your cheating! I look forward to them every day, even use them as a reward for going to the gym. Then went online to try and find a better price. The only complaint I have is they melted in shipment :(. Not horribly, they are edible... but Im not sure Id order them again online for this reason. They also either messed up or compensated for lack of inventory, because instead of the expected 18 small (50g) bars, I got 12 large (96g) bars and 9 of the small, which is the equivalent of 33 small bars, almost double what I was expecting. Thanks!

(More customer reviews)I was looking for something that I could eat for breakfast that would give me a good start to the day without causing a huge jump in my blood sugar level and keep me feeling content until lunch. I had been eating Zone bars - but I think this does a better job of keeping my blood sugar on the straight and narrow. Oh - I also like the way it tastes. 16 grams of protein, 4 grams of fiber and no refined sugars. Who could ask for more?

(More customer reviews)I love Vega! I use 1 heaping scoop of the natural flavor to make fruit smoothies for breakfast in the morning and I feel energized, focused, and ready to start the day.
I am vegan and I do my best to eat a balanced and healthy diet - but it's not always so easy. Where I work there aren't any food options (other than fast food) so, on the days I don't bring my own lunch, it's so handy to keep some Chocolate Vega in my desk because I can easily make a healthy shake that satisfies me and I don't have to go hungry. I usually mix it with hemp milk and also eat a banana or other piece of fruit with it but I am seriously not hungry at all afterward. And that's just with one heaping scoop. I'm sure that 2 scoops would be just fine even for those of us with larger appetites.
When I do have a shake for lunch, I definitely notice an improvement in my concentration and energy level in the afternoon and even into the evening. I feel sharp. I never experience that 3pm lag that makes most people yawn and run to get afternoon coffee.
I would like to mention that I have a seriously sensitive stomach and I have never experienced any side effects or upset stomach whatsoever with any of the Vega products. It's a whole food optimizer and I can only say that's a good way to describe how it makes me feel - optimized!
I definitely recommend the Vega Whole Food Optimizer and I suggest ordering the smaller sample packets to experiment with your flavor preferences before buying the larger sizes. Also, try mixing it with water, juice, and different "milks" to suit your preferences. (I prefer hemp or soy milk.) Good luck! Here's to your health!
