Big 100 Food Bar Review

I'm a technology guy who sits at a desk all day fixing problems and creating solutions. I get in early and leave whenever I can escape. There's no time for lunch almost ever. Well, I also happen to be an avid weight lifter and I need protein to maintain muscle mass. Bars are the solution. I eat at least a couple of these a day and can continue working or driving or whatever while I'm eating. I've tried a lot of bars and here's why I chose these in the end:
Positives:
- Good protein content level (not too much, not too little)
- Great array of vitamins to keep you healthy (I rarely get sick)
- A small amount of fiber, but not the kind that will leave you in a
meeting with executives squirming around from the gas. Some bars
have no fiber, while others pack it with the kind that kills your
gut
- A bit of sugar to pick you up mid-day if you're low (way better
than sucking down a soda)
- Drinks are messy, these easy and clean
- No sugar alcohols or soy protein (huge gas causers)
- Cheaper and way fewer calories than going out to lunch every day
- Faster and easier than making lunch every day
Negatives:
- Some people would list the sugar/high fructose corn syrup as a
negative, but those people must not have very high metabolisms
because these have less sugar in them than a cup of 100% fruit
juice and I find that I burn it off just typing all day. Otherwise,
I haven't found any negatives.

EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control Nutrition Bar Review

EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control Nutrition Bar

These bars are somewhat better than other low-carb bars: Crunchy texture is nice and taste is good. Unfortunately they are loaded with 19 grams of poop-inducing Maltitol, not the friendlier Erythritol. Still I enjoy them - mainly in the privacy of my small office LOL

Power Bar Protein Plus, Reduced Sugar, 2.47-Ounce Bars (Pack of 12) Review

I typically eat a protein bar every morning on my way to the gym. Chocolate-peanut butter is one of my favorite flavors, so I was expecting to like the chocolate-peanut butter flavor of Power Bar's reduced sugar line. Quite honestly, I was disappointed with this product. It doesn't have a lot of flavor and the texture is on the dry and gummy side. I like that it has 22 grams of protein and very little sugar, but the fat content is a little too high. The Pure Protein brand makes a similar low sugar bar that has almost as much protein but many fewer calories (The Power Bar has 270 calories; the Pure Protein about 200, depending on the flavor). I also much prefer the flavor and texture of the Pure Protein bars. To add insult to injury, the smaller Pure Protein bars -- the ones with a similar protein content to this product -- also cost less.
