(More customer reviews)Whenever I take antibiotics, I always get a yeast infection -- unless I take acidophilus. PB 8 Pro-Biotic Acidophilus has 14 billion live cultures, making it one of the more potent products available. If I take four capsules a day (two in morning; two in the evening), during my course of antibiotics, I can always avoid the infection. However, to get this benefit, I have to start taking this the same day I start the antibiotics.
A few helps to help acidophilus work better for you -- take your dose on an empty stomach (at least 30 minutes before or two hours after you eat); if you already take acidophilus daily, double your dose whenever a situation arises that would normally put you at risk for yeast; take the acidophilus AT LEAST one week after you finish antibiotics; and avoid sugar and other simple starches (candida feeds off those).

It works by absorbing gunk off the intestinal linging apparently, and then, by adhering to the psyllium or fiber from one's diet, being passed in one's bowel movement. The results are empirically certain for one can see and smell the stuff, and it certainly removed some grime that I'd rather not have stored up in my guts!

Special teas and other foods just made me even sicker, and I finding meals every night that wouldn't leave me in pain was quite the chore.
