I have used another brand and since there is not argument that Source Naturals is a good brand I wanted to state my opinion about this product. There are studies regarding DHEA both good and bad. The reason I like this product is that it states it cannot be metabolized into active estrogenic or androgenic sex hormones. When regular DHEA supplement has caused higher than normal levels of androgens and estrogens it theoretically may increase the risk of prostate, breast, ovarian and other hormone sensitive cancers. If somehow this adverse effect has been removed in the 7-Keto DHEA without harming the integrity of the product I am happy to try. DHEA is known to downregulate IL-6 which is a stress marker in the blood. That is not to say it reduces stress but might reduce the harmful effects of stress or chronic inflammation. For myself, I am sleeping better and don't have a lab in my house to study why that might be, but I think the DHEA 7 Keto might be helping.

Amberen Healthy Choice for Menopause, 60-Count Review

(More customer reviews)I have taken 2 regimens of Amberen and I am amazed at the success of the product on my hot flashes. We are talking a half dozen flashes at night and easily twice that during the day. (burning body, sweat drippping down my forehead and cheeks--and I do mean dripping!) I could not believe it , but Amberen brought me relief!! Total relief! All flashes--GONE! I took it for 3 months and was 2 months off and went on again as the flashes returned. I am about to enter my off period and I do hope that it lasts longer than 2 months because I am a healthy woman otherwise and not a "pill popper". I have no other annoying meno-symptoms, so I would rather not take anything. It is an amazing product.
My only complaint and why I did not give Amberen 5 stars is the price. I think it's pretty expensive. But my oh my, the relief it brings is priceless!

(More customer reviews)Look, i'm not saying this is the perfect cure-all tablet for those going through the annoying and painful process of Menopause; However, I have experienced a huge difference since taking the One-a-Day Women's Menopause formula.
After taking this tablet once a day for 2 months, my hot flashes and night sweats have greatly reduced to almost nothing (I used to suffer terrible heat waves followed by sweat all over my face and legs!!! During the night it was a constant battle of "covers off/covers on" as I would get very hot and sweaty, only to suddenly get cold and shivery -- hard to get any sleep because of these menopause symptoms)
The feeling of calmness has increased, so that means better sleep and feeling less anxious/stressed out, making my husband happier instead of fearing the "Mad Woman of Redwood City".
To be fair, I was on hormone therapy - PrepmPro - for one year (April 2009 - April 2010) because my hot flashes and emotional rollercoaster were out of control and literally making me crazy. Yes, the menopause symptoms stopped; Unfortunately, the side affects that hit me were the monthly migraine headaches, which had gotten so bad that I ended up in ER because the pain would not go away and I thought I was having a stroke. I had suffered migraines before when I was on birth-control back in my 20's - i had stopped those immediately after a 2-week bout of migraines. I did the same with the Prempro -I stopped taking them exactly 1 year after starting those pills, and after I ended up at the hospital. I've been off Prempro for 3.5 months, and during that time I have not had any kind of headache since - so the hormones in the Prempro were the true culprit.
Yes, there are many "natural remedies" out there for women going through the change of life; but what can work for one person, may not work for another. Same thing with prescription drugs.
My experience in taking One-A-Day-Menopause Forumula is that it works for me, and I am happy with the current results.
All I need to find now is the cure for the Menopause "weight gain"!!!
